Catherine Sullivan was convicted at Cork on 14/12/1850 for stealing potatoes. 7yr sentence. Transported on the ‘John William Dare’ for Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) but became ill on the voyage (chronic bronchitis & sea sick gastric irriation) 02/02/1852 and died 03/05/1852, prior to reaching destination of Hobart.
