Family connections for George (Tate) are: TATE George (Tate) was born about 1782. He was tried at London Gaol Delivery, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 9 1818 after a voyage of 4months on GLORY. He was an emancipist when he married Eliza (Manning) on 18 12 1826 at St Marys RC Sydney. Eliza (Manning) was born on 17 6 1808 & baptised on 31 3 1811 age2 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She died on 20 11 1832 age24. Details of Eliza (Manning)s family are given in entry for John (Manning ROYAL AMIRAL 1800) on this Website. [Some details taken from this Website] Eliza (Manning) & George (Tate) produced perhaps 2children: 1.Mary (Tate) was born in 1824 at Market St Sydney & baptised on 8 8 1824 at St Marys RC Sydney. 2.Noted a Mary (Tate) is recorded as born in 1826 (no parents given) & died on 28 11 1826 age6w at Parramatta; she was buried at St Johns CofE Parramatta.
