Damily connections for Jane (Thomas) are: THOMAS Jane (Thomas) arrived in NSW as a convict-perhaps on 27 5 1797 after a voyage of 5.5months on BRITANNIA. She seems to have had a first relationship with John (Wexford) & produced a child:>>> 1.William (Thomas) was born on 8 8 1801 & baptised on 5 2 1804 age2 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. >>>Jane (Thomas) may have married secondly George (Kelly his first marriage) about 1809 (not shown in Smees records) & produced 3children. She was Free by Servitude by 1812. She seems to have produced 4children in her lifetime. Jane (Thomas) does not have an entry on this Website as yet-added by me] Matthew/George/Thomas (Kelly) was born about 1771. He was tried for assault & attempted robbery at Dublin Ireland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW on 17 9 1793 after a voyage of of 5/17months on SUGAR CANE. He is recorded in 1803 as constable lessee of 3acres. He had a second relationship with Eleanor (Sullivan). He was Free by Servitude by 1812. Evidence of him being a constable in Sydney between 14 9 1813 & 30 8 1825 are listed in entries for Matthew (Kelly) George (Kelly) & Eleanor (Sullivan)-all SUGAR CANE 1793- on this Website. On 8 9 1821 he is recorded as on stores with a wife & 2children. He is recorded in 1828 as Free by Servitude constable at Cumberland St Sydney. He died in 1848 age about77 father of perhaps 4children.
