Maria Thompson (nee Durant) is the 1st Wife of George. She sadly died of complications in childbirth in 1837. Her gravestone is a well-known NSW heratige site at Congo Point near Moruya in NSW. George married his 2nd Wife Jane Harper who gave him 12 Children.
