Convicted 15 March 1838 Edinburgh.Theft of cheese, sentenced to 7 years transportation. He was a chair maker, age 17 according to hulk record. Received 9 April 1838 on hulk 'Fortitude' at Chatham. Tasmanian Description Book has ageĀ 18, from Edinburgh, 5ft 4in, age 18, dark complexion, black hair and eyebrows, hazel eyes. Conditional Pardon 28/12/43.
