Charles Tranter was listed as being 24 years old on arrival in VDL (Birth date 1825). Native Place: Birmingham. Crime: Picking pockets and stealing a handkerchief. Occupation: Wire weaver. Charles was single, could read and write a little, 5'4¾" tall, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, no whiskers, hazel eyes, small scar on forefinger left hand. Father: John Mother: Eliza Brother: Henry Sisters: Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth, Ann - all at Birmingham. 2/6/1852: Had TOL - Assault - fined 20/. 29/3/1853: TOL revoked - absent from muster.
