My great great grandfather on dad's side. Dad's mum was born Clare Edith Coral Nicholas, daughter of Edith Tubb. Dan's daughter Edith Arabella married John Nicholas. John was the son of the convicts Francis Nicholas and Mary Derrick. My grandmother Clare married Mark Rueben Venn whose grandfather was the convict Matthew Silas Venn from Somerset.




Daniel Tubb was listed as 23 years old on arrival. Place of Birth: Locksley/Loxley, Warwick. Transported for 'Wounding a gamekeeper, John Goldsly'. Daniel was single, literate, protestant, 5'9¾" tall, brown hair hazel eyes, scar on thumb of left hand. 11/3/1851: Permission to marry Sarah Harris (free). No registration found. 29/6/1864: Married Henrietta Ayling at Longford, Tas.
