Samuel Tuttle was transported on the Andromeda, departing 16th Oct 1826 and arriving 23rd Feb 1827 with 147 passengers.
Also, same day, from Cork, whence she sailed May 25th, the ship Andromeda, 401 tons, Benjamin Gales master, with 173 female prisoners; Henry Kelsawl, Esq., Surgeon-superintendant. Passengers — Fourteen free females, viz. Mary Manning, Martha Morron, Margaret Mahon, Margaret Sheedy, Mary Ann Nixon alias Welsh, Catherine Kiernan, Mary Cassock, Catherine Stanton, Johanna Neville, Mary Lyons alias Hynes, Maria Moran, Catherine O'Donnel, Margaret Kennedy, and Mary Sullivan, and twenty-six children; also twenty-three children belonging to the prisoners. Samuel Tuttle, alias Smith, 5 feet 3 3/4 inches^ brown hair, dark gray eyes, age 28, a road maker, tried at Leicester, in July, 1826, sentence life, per Andromeda, native of Sessley, Staffordshire, a notch in his left ear . scar near knuckle back of, right hand small brown mole left cheek-bone. Absconded from chain gang, prisoners' barracks, Jan. 1830. Reward £2.
