Married Eliza Hartigan June 23rd 1828 at Cambelltown. Eliza was born in the colony, daughter of Dudley Hartigan (Convict, Minerva, 1800) and Mary Ann Ackers. Mary Ann was heself born in the colony, the daughter of Thomas Ackers (First Fleet Convict, Charlotte, 1788) and Ann Hinchley (Third Fleet Convict, Mary Ann, 1791).
Eliza had already been married prior to Thomas. She was married to Joseph Jourdan (Convict, Hebe, 1820) on September 12th 1825 and had a child Emma born in 1826. However, Joseph died in 1826, leaving Eliza a very young widow.
She and Thomas had 3 children.
