John Vaughan was listed as 30 years old on arrival.

John was tried at York, Eng., 6/3/1852.

Occupation: Tool maker.

John was single, 5’6” tall, brown hair, dark hazel eyes, long face, fresh complexion, middling stout, much pockmarked, semi literate.

28/7/1856: TOL
1/8/1859: CP

Newspapers report him as a vagrant, and he had a drinking problem.

30/10/1896: John Vaughan died at the Mount Eliza Depot, Perth, Western Australia.

1/11/1896 The Daily News, Perth, WA:
Mr Walter Dale, superintendent of Mount Eliza Depot, has supplied us with the following particulars of the deaths that have occurred at that institution during the last few weeks:—
October 23, John Woods, 70, senile decay;
October 30, John Vaughan, 72, senile decay;
