Family connections for Richard (Walker) are: Some amendments added Dec 2025. WALKER Richard (Walker) was born about 1768 in London & became a surgeon & apothecary. He married Dorothy (perhaps nee Martin) before 1785. He was tried for possession of forged notes probably at Old Bailey, sentenced to 14years & arrived in NSW on 16 10 1814 after a voyage of 7.5months on SOMERSETSHIRE. He worked as a clerk & was possibly Free by Servitude by 1827. He died on 29 6 1832 at home in Sydney age64 & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney. [Some details taken from this Website] Dorothy (perhaps Martin) arrived in NSW free following her husband with her children on 18 6 1815 after a voyage of 6months on NORTHAMPTON. Richard (Walker) & Dorothy (perhaps Martin) produced 2children: 1.Emma (Walker) was born in 1807 in England. She arrived in NSW with her mother on 18 6 1815 after a voyage of 6months on NORTHAMPTON. She married with permission Samuel (Evans his second marriage) boot & shoe maker on 30 7 1826 at St Phillips CofE Sydney & produced 2children. She is recorded in 1828 living with her family at Princess St Sydney. ..Samuel (Evans) was born about 1792 & became a shoemaker. He was tried for possession of forged bank notes at Monmouth Lent Assizes Wales on 30 3 1818, sentenced to 14years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 26 6 1819 after a voyage of 7months on BARING; he was 5'5.5" pale complexion black hair blue eyes. He had been issued his Ticket of Leave & was a shoemaker when he married firstly with permission Mary Ann (Crane) on 28 5 1821 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He was a boot & shoe maker in 1826 & was Free by Servitude by 1827. He is recorded in 1828 as shoemaker living with his family at Princess St Sydney. He died on 20 4 1830 age37 in Sydney shoemaker father of at least 2children & was buried with his first wife at Devonshire St cemetery St Phillips CofE Sydney. ..[Some details taken from this Website] [.Mary Ann (Crane) was born about 1794/6.
