12/1/1832 Cheltenham Chronicle Gloucestershire, England. Joseph Which, John Powell and Michael Yeoman, charged with assaulting Henry Tiky, of St. Philip and Jacob, and stealing from his person a canvas purse, containing 30s. his property. All were onboard the Jupiter. Michael Yeoman was listed as 24 years old on arrival. Native Place: Bristol. Occupation: Blacksmiths labourer. Michael was 5'1" tall, fresh complexion, dark brown hair and small whiskers, brown eyes, Jug Glss. Pipe M.T. above E. left arm Slightly ppitted Fish M.Y. above E. rt. arm. 11/5/1838 The Hobart Town Courier: Tuesday, May 8. Michael Yeoman, another ticket-of-leave man, was deprived of his ticket, and sentenced two months hard labour, for misconduct in the service of Mr. Baynton, and threatening to strike him. 2/10/1840 The Hobart Town Courier: Friday, 20th September. Fines for drunkenness. Michael Yeomans, hired servant to Mr. Vigor, charged by his master with ill-treating his horses and also with assaulting him when remonstrated with for so doing ; ordered to pay 40s. and costs. 11/2/1858 The Hobart Town Daily Mercury: ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.__A drayman named Michael Yeoman, residing in Harrington-Street, attempted suicide yesterday morning about six o'clock, by cutting his arm above the elbow, but as the brachial artery was not divided, his life was saved, and he was conveyed to the Colonial Hospital, exhausted by loss of blood. 29/8/1959: Drunk. 14/3/1861 The Mercury, Hobart: Michael Yeoman for using obscene language was fined 20s and was further fined 20s for assaulting Constable Sherrard. Mary Yeoman, the wife of Michael, for using obscene language, was fined 10s. 24/8/1872: Michael Yeoman died of Peritonitis at the General Hospital, Hobart. Listed as 67 years old and a labourer. Buried by friends.

1844 - 7th Oct - married Mary Barrett at St Joseph's Catholic Church, Hobart Mary Barrett: Convict, Irish farm worker, 7 years, 2 cloaks and a loaf. 1841 arrived VDL on Mexborough from Dublin; 1844 April: probation; 1844 June: ticket of leave; 1847 Nov: free by servitude; 1847 Nov: certificate of freedom. Mary died 1 Feb 1866 at Hobart General Hospital - disease of the stomach. 3 daughters - Elizabeth 1846, Catherine 1847, Mary 1850
