Seppings

A Barque of 393 Tons. Left Calcutta 1st Dec 1839 and arrived Port Jackson 22nd April 1840 via Port Phillip. Carried a cargo of sugar and 18 convicts shipped from Calcutta, four soldiers on board guarding the convicts. Of the 18 convicts 11 are destined for NSW. Two died of tuberculosis (consumption) and one had gone overboard and drowned while suffering from temporary insanity.
