George was Born at Ramsay, Huntingdonsire. He was 20 years old on arrival, was 5'9 3/4" tall, could read and write a little, single, C of E, Fresh complexion, light brown hair, brown thin whiskers, grey eyes. Father: Thomas Mother: Phoebe Edwards Papworth Brothers: Thomas, William Sisters: Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah - all at native place. 12/7/1853: TOL 4/4/1854: TOL revoked 27/3/1855: TOL restored 24/10/1856: Free Certificate. 2/7/1873: Larceny - 6 months 26/1/1878: Larceny - 3 months. 1858: Married Margaret Hunter, Forest, Tasmania. They had 5 children. 1892: Died at Black River, Stanley, Tasmania.
