1825 Journey. On Saturday morning (3 Dec) arrived from London and Dublin, the ship Henry Porcher, Captain John Thompson, with 175 male prisoners, having lost one man - the rest in good health. She sailed from London the 10th of July, and Dublin the 5th of August. The guard comprises a detachment of the 47th Regiment, under the orders of Captain Donaldson. The Surgeon Superintendent is Dr. CARTER, R. N. Sydney Gazette, 5 Dec 1825.

1839, Tasmania, Louis Absolom born to William and Eliza, but not registered. His death was noted "ABSOLOM.-On Thursday, March 17,1898, at Hobart, Louis, eldest son of the late William Absolom, in the 60th year of his age". death entry says born tasmania.

William was listed as 25 years old on arrival. He was born at St. Lukes and his occupation was a Labourer/Ironfounder 3½ years. William was 5' 6½" tall, dark complexion, dark brown hair, black whiskers, dark grey eyes, scar outer corner rt eye - flower & pot - Fame Wreath W. N. Man & Woman & 2 flags on rt arm - S. M/ Mermaid Anchor 2 flags left arm & several dots back same hand, single. 18/4/1839: Permission to marry Eliza Murray (free) (born in Launceston 1814) - Marriage registered 1839. 19/5/1839: Son, William Absolom, born Hobart 31/5/1853: Daughter, Margaret Murray, born Hobart. 27/11/1855: Male born Hobart, name not given. 17/6/1839: Was a Constable - dismissed for neglect of duty. 28/12/1842: With the Water Police - misconduct, 14 days solitary. 20/10/1843: TOL 28/12/1845: Recommended for a CP 31/10/1846: CP approved. 13/7/1890: William died of 'Chronic Bladder disease and Renal degeneration' at Cascade Road, Hobart. Listed as a Labourer.
