Departed Portsmouth, England on 29 July 1789, via Cape of Good Hope for Port Jackson, New South Wales, Australia on 3 June 1790. 1790 voyage carried 226 female passengers (convicts)- 5 of whom died on the trip. 6 children also on board. Significant because it was the first ship to bring all female women to the Colony.

Old Bailey Online SARAH ACTON. Theft; animal theft. 14th January 1789. Text type Trial account Defendants SARAH ACTON Offences Theft > Animal theft Session Date 14th January 1789 Reference Number t17890114-9 Verdicts Guilty Punishments Transportation 106. SARAH ACTON was indicted for stealing, on the 31st of December last, ten live sucking pigs, price 20 s. the property of Simon Shearman . The pigs were found by Samuel Harper , the officer, under the prisoner's bed, very soon after the robbery. Prisoner. It is not my room; a woman brought them while I was out. GUILTY . Tried by the second Middlesex Jury before Mr. ROSE.




Sarah was tried at the Old Bailey in London on 14/01/1789 (Ref:t17890114-9)for stealing 10 live suckling pigs valued 20 shillings, the property of Simon Shearman on 31/12/1788. The pigs were found under her bed. Sarah denied the charge but was found guilty. She died on 25/12/1795 in Norfolk Island & is buried there.
