Sainty & Johnson; 1828 Census of New South Wales: [Ref T0126] Taylor, Adam, 30, Fs, Baring, 1819, Constable at Evan. 15 acres all cleared and cultivated 2 cattle. # Also [Ref T0127] Taylor, Elizabeth Sophia, 18, BC and [Ref T0128] Taylor, Mary Annette, 2 BC.
Sophia then married William Atkins (convict) in 1859 at Bathurst and then George LEvans in 1867 at Forbes. Sophia died in 1879 and is buried as Sophia Atkins at Forbes.
19/7/1824: Attached to Capt. Lethbridge's clearing gang. On return of proceedings of the Bench of Magistrates. 18/3/1825: COF 30/5/1825: Married Sophia Elizabeth Newham at St John's Parramatta. They had 8? children. Sophia was the daughter of Richard Newham (Glatton 1803) and Mary Burnett (William Pitt 1806). 23/11/1827: Constable 7/5/1829: Resigned as Constable 1830: Received a land grant. 6/7/1833 and 25/6/1834: Publican's Licence for The Kings Head at Evan/Prospect 3/6/1839: Publican's Licence for the Ashfield Tavern, Wheeo, Goulburn/Yass 1841 Census: Wheeoflats, County Georgiana, Districh Goulburn. 31/8/1844: Depasturing licence at Belabla Creek. 27/6/1855: Lost daughters Emma 5 and Margaret 13 after Emma's clothes caught on fire and Margaret had tried to save her. 1858: Adam was Buried at Fish River.
