James Adams was 23 years old and was tried at the Dublin Royal Barracks, he was a pit sawyer, but was in the 61st Regiment for 6 years> The 61st must have been an English Regiment because James's native place was Croydon, Surrey. James was 5'7 1/2" tall, fresh complexion, brown curly hair, dark brown whiskers, hazel eyes, tattoos. 13/7/1847: TOL 20/4/1848: Remainder of sentence remitted on petition. 8/8/1850: Free Certificate.
