Most humbly sheweth that Petitioner has a beloved wife and son in England to deplore his banishment from a comfortable home, for a period of 16 years. That Petitioner has the most pleasing prospect of doing well, provided he had the happiness of being once more restored to the faithful and affectionate partner of his youth, who lives only in the hope of seeing him return to his friends and native land. That petitioner feels deeply impressed with the great Indulgence he has already received from Government and humbly hopes you will graciously appreciate the feelings that has alone induced him to approach you with this petition. And should you be pleased to consider Petitioner an object worth y of His Excellency the Governor’s clemency and bestow your Approbation upon Petitioner’s case, A grateful Supplicant and happy family will be ever bound to Pray.
