Joseph Addington was christened in Maulden Bedfordshire, England on 26 May 1822, of parents Thomas and Elizabeth Addington, who also added to their family in Wilstead Bedfordshire. He married Ann McDonald in Hobart in 1851. Ann was convicted in Aberdeen Court of Justiciary Sources familysearch.org and Ancestry.com.au
