Convicted of the rape of Elizabeth Harriett Breckels. Married with three children. Wife Catherine. Sisters Elizabeth and Bridget, in County Cork.


DEATH: 11 January, 1859: Dennis Aherne [sic] #18275 per Mayda "died suddenly at Partridge Island of disease of the heart" (Tasmania, Australia, Convict Court and Selected Records, 1800-1899; Register; Registers of convict deaths, 1845-1874). Note: Partridge Island lies in the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, between Bruny Island and the south-east coast of Tasmania.

IN VDL: On arrival, he was listed as Dennis A Hearn, convict #1875, 48, shoemaker, married with three children (another part of the document lists two children), Roman Catholic, literate, native place County Kerry.
