Committed to the Castle.  John Aill (by the Rev. George Jenyns and George Jenyns, jun. Esq.) charged with feloniously stealing a brown mare, the property of Mr. Thomas Snitch, of Offord Cluny, in the county of Huntingdon; which mare the prisoner offered for sale, the day after it was stolen, Great Wilbraham, this county.  Cambridge Chronicle, 14 Nov 1828.  At Cambridge assizes last week, , … Wm. Aill,  for stealing a mare from Thos. Snitch, of Offord Cluny; … severally had sentence of death recorded against them. Stamford Mercury, 3 April 1829. On Tuesday last the under-named convicts were removed from the Castle, and the following day delivered on board the hulks at Gosport, in order to their being transported to New South Wales, viz.—William Gunn, Thos. Jeffery, James Smith, James Murfitt, and William Aill, for life ; James Berry, for fourteen years; and William Hill, for seven.  Cambridge Chronicle, 15 May 1829.
