Lancaster Assizes. Thos. Ainsworth, 26. and Mary Holt, 32, for uttering to James Tweedale, at Spotland, a forged York bank note, for one pound, knowing the same to be forged. Lancaster Gazette, 29 March 1823. Assize Intelligence Thomas Ainsworth, 26 and Mary Holt, 32, committed by John Entwisle, Esq. 21st March, 1825, charged with having uttered James at Spotland, a forged note, purporting to note of the York Bank, for the payment of one pound, well knowing the same to be forged. Death. Manchester Mercury, 8 April 1823.
