Convict Notes
Henry Alcock was married to Sarah Sealey at Feckenham, Worcestershire in 1831. Convicted 14 October 1838 • Worcester Quarter Sessions, Worcester, England Convicted of stealing sheep. Sentenced to 15 years. Henry's brother-in-law, John Green, received a life sentance for the same offence in 1818, his partner was John Sealey !! John Green's sister, Mary Ann married Henry's brother Frederick Alcock. Henry had six brothers of whom most ended up tranported for similar crimes. Other members of the family came out to Australia by assisted passage.

16/10/1839 Worcestershire Chronicle Worcestershire, England: MICHAELMAS QUARTER SESSIONS Ball, John, labourer, Alcock, Henry, 30, needle maker, were charged with having, the night the 14th September last, stolen ewe sheep, the property Susannah Vincent. No ship found for John Ball. Henry Alcock was 37 years old on arrival, he was literate, protestant, married with 2 male and 2 female children. Native Place: Worcester. Henry was 5'3" tall, sallow complexion, brown mixed with grey hair, hazel eyes, nose large, right eye weak, hair thin on crown, scar under right side of lower lip, small mole under left eye, two moles on right side of neck, and large on on back of right side of same, three mole on upper part of breast, scar on back of left thumb. 1846: TOL Broulee
