Josiah Alcock married Sarah Holman in 1827 in Waddesden, Buckinghamshire, England. They had 5 children prior to his transportation. In 1854 he faced a conviction in the Launceston Court and was fined. He could read and write. He died in Tasmania in 1861, presumably without seeing his family again.
