Mary Ann Alfred was convicted at Antrim on 08/01/1844 for Larceny. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania), arriving 02/01/1845.
Gaol Report: very good
Ship Surgeon’s Report: special recommendation for her general good conduct and having made herself useful.

Aged 19yrs; Protestant - Church of England; bonnet maker; 4’ 11 3/4”; sallow complexion; black hair; Hazel eyes; single.
Native Place: Armagh

Note made on record of her good conduct.

24/12/1846: Hiring Depot - misconduct. 6mths hard labour, Female Factory, Hobart.
