15-Aug-1851: The undermentioned prisoners of the Crown being absent from their Districts, are illegally at large :- David Allen, Bangalore, 30, Dumfries, stonemason, 5 feet 8 1/2 inches, dark brown comp., brown hair, brown eyes, four dots back of left hand, several small scars back of left thumb and fore finger, legs hairy ; from Ticket of Leave, Moreton Bay, since June 1851. c1824: Stated aged 25, in 1849 Quarterly list in prisons and on hulks. 30-Apr-1847: David Allan, mason, of Dumfries. tried for the crime of theft. Tried at High Court, Dumfries. Verdict: Guilty, Sentence: Transportation - 7 years.
