William Allcock was listed as 26 years old on arrival. Native Place: Staffordshire, Eng. Occupation: Soldier/farm servant. William was single, could read, protestant, 5'10¼" tall, ruddy fair complexion, fair hair, grey eyes, perpendicular scar on left cheek, cut on right forefinger, mole on left cheek. Assigned to John Coghill Esq., Kirkham. 30/7/1834: COF - Listed as Alcock. 22/10/1834: Permission to marry Agnes Paterson (Buffalo 1833) - she was 22 and on bond - William Allcock, aged 34 and free. No registration found. 9/11/1837: Married Catherine McNamara at St. Marys, Sydney. (Catherine died 30/12/1900 at Stanley, Victoria.) 1849: William was a shepherd at Lake George. Death Certificate lists him as a miner. 5 children pre-deceased him. 9/1/1858: William died at Milkmans Flat, Beechworth, Victoria. 1861: Catherine married Thomas Harris.
