In the colony, Edward married Sarah Cooling/Cowling 24th January 1814 at Windsor. Sarah was the daughter of Thomas Cowling (Convict, 1792, "Pitt") and Eleanor Mary Bryan (Convict, 1793, "Sugar Cane"). The couple had 7 children between 1816 and 1839. They are listed in the 1814 Muster: [Ref 0279 page 8] Edward Allen, Fortune, Off Stores, Landholder. [Ref 1495 page 35] Sarah Allen, born here, off stores, wife to Edward Allen.
