County of Antrim assizes. Margaret Allen - for stealing, on 10th Sept. a pair of shoes, a hat, &c. the property of James Graham, Belfast. Mary Graham - On rising about six in the morning of 11th Sept. missed her husband's shoes, hat and other things -they had been  left in the kitchen the previous night- saw the things about ten o'clock same morning in the Police-Office - she keeps a lodging-house. John McCluskey, Watchman. On the morning of 11th Sept. found a pair  of shoes and a hat with the prisoner-they were under her apron - he took her to the Police-Office-  the hat and shoes were afterwards claimed by last witness. Guilty; seven years transportation . Belfast News-Letter, 27 March 1829.
