On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. 1829, 15 July: Thomas ALLEN, barber and hairdresser, granted Ticket of Leave #29/388; for the district of Parramatta; altered to Sydney on 26 June 1833 (see NSW, Australia, Tickets of Leave, 1810-1869; Ticket of leave butts, May 1829-Dec 1829). 1833, 4 March: Thomas ALLEN – Certificate of Freedom #33/125 – born 1787, native of County Sligo (see NSW, Australia, Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1814, 1827-1867; Registers of Certificates of Freedom, 1 Dec 1823 - Apr 1827, Jun 1828 - Dec 1833).


1818, 25 July: Admitted to Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin; transferred by the Government; prisoner #3905 (see Ireland, Prison Registers, 1790-1924; Dublin, Kilmainham, 1815-1910). 1819, 25 August: Thomas ALLEN 32, 5’6¼”, fair ruddy complexion, light brown hair, grey eyes, native place County Sligo (see NSW Convict Indents, 1788-1842; Bound Indentures 1818-1819).
