Robert Allinson was convicted at York on 04/03/1820 for horse stealing. 14yr sentence. Gaol Report: conduct proper & previous good character. Hulk Report: Orderly. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Maria', arriving Dec 1820. Stated he had a wife at Rippon. Assignments in Colony. 30/07/1825: at Mr. Haywoods - neglect in failing to assist and repelling an attack. Sent to Macquarie Harbour (notorious Penal Settlement on the West Coast). 27/01/1832: Conditional Pardon granted. No. 309.
