In the Supreme Court of New South Wales. ECCLESIASTICAL JURISDICTION. In the will of Joseph Allpress, late of Porphery, Seaham, in the Colony of New South Wales, farmer, deceased. NOTICE is hereby given, that after the expiration of fourteen days from the publication hereof, application will be made to this Honorable Court by Jeremy Bentham Carmichael, of Porphery, Seaham, in the Colony of New South Wales, the duly appointed attorney of Gavin Thomas Carmichael, formerly of Porphery, but now on his way to England, the Executor appointed by the will of the said Joseph Allpress, deceased, that administration, with the will annexed, of all and singular the goods and chattels of the said deceased may be granted to him, as such attorney of the said Executor.—Dated this fourth day of May, a.d. 1869. Joseph Allpress, who was convicted at the last Quarter Sessions of having stolen four sheep, the property of Mr. Samuel Brown, of Somersham was removed from the county gaol Tuesday, put board the Ganymede hulk at Woolwich, in order his being transported for life. The prisoner was convicted Tuesday the 15th, and the following Tuesday was conveyed from his native county (Upwood being his birth place) nevermore to return. He leaves behind him a wife and four children who most likely will be thrown on the parish for support. Cambridge Chronicle, 25 Oct 1833.
