"Ann Anderson is my grandfather's grandfather's grandmother. ie: Ann is mother of Elizabeth Anne Pinner (nee Green), mother of Thomas Pinner, father of Rosanna Pinner (later Byrne, later Gardiner), mother of Sydney Byrne, father of Lorna Byrne (later Maxwell) who is my mother. I would like further information about this claim: "Married Thomas Green per Malabar 11 December 1825 in Launceston Tasmania." as it conflicts with the marriage record which indicates Ann married a free man not a convict. Statement of John Green, Clerk of Emu Plains Establishment, 2 June 1827, relating to female convicts sent to the government Agricultural Establishment at Emu Plains in 1822-23, Colonial Office Records, CO 210/182, p. 328 http://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-987061240: Anne Anderson per Jno Bull Received May 1st 1822 Discharged 31st Dec/22 to the Factory. This woman was reported to have communicated the venerial to several men on the Establishment, for which she was ordered by the Supt to be confined to her hut until cured, but not conforming to the order, and being frequently detected with men whilst undergoing a course of medicines to prevent the disorder spreading it was deemed prudent to remove her to the Factory, with a statement that she was returned for repeated misconduct. Married Thomas Green per Malabar 11 December 1825 in Launceston Tasmania. Admitted to New Norfolk Asylum 11 May 1842 suffering from paralysis. Ann never recovered and remained at the asylum until her death 27 May 1847. Ann and Thomas had 3 children. Annie Elizabeth, George and Thomas.
