Catherine Anderson, 16 yrs, single, single, an idler, can not read nor write, convicted of theft, habit repute, sentenced to 7 yrs at Dundee on the 14 Jan 1848. Also, 2 times previously convicted of theft. Prison Registers and Statistical Returns - page 178 1843-1850 HO 24/12

Catherine Anderson was convicted at Perth, Scotland on 5 Oct 1847 for stealing caps. Previous offences. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Elizabeth & Henry' arriving 30 June 1848. Aged 18yrs; single; housemaid; Presbyterian. Native place - Glasgow Mother - Jane, at Dundee Sisters - Marie Ann & Agnes Assignments in Colony. 6mths Probation Period. Anson's Station Gang. 24 Feb 1852: Ticket of Leave granted 5 Apr 1853: Ticket of Leave revoked
