Return of Persons convicted under the Provisions of 31 Vict No 12 During the Week ending 13 May 1871. Edward Anderson alias Draycott, per David Clarke, F.S., Offence-Larceny, Sentence-12 months, Native Place-Gloucester, Trade-Labourer, Age 59 years, 5 feet 10 1/2 inches high, Previous Conviction-12 Mar 1869, resides in Launceston & Oatlands. Tasmania Police Gazette, 19th May 1871, p84. An inquest was held at Hobart Town, on the 30th ultimo, upon the body of Edward Anderson, alias Draycott, per David Clark, a prisoner undergoing a sentence of 12 months.. Verdict--Natural causes.
