There are 18 Janet Andersons in the county of Midlothian, only one in Edinburgh itself but a little bit older than expected at 15. (transcript attached) none seem to have the family names above with them. Did a search for the more unusual names of brother Charles and sister Agnes but couldn't find any family living together. Nothing found in the IGI. On the VDL register she says she was sentenced with Sarah Nelson (on board this ship) and Ellen Hastie (Helen Hastie) not on board this ship. Both referred to in 2 newspapers article re her seven years transportation. (attached) Another 3 newspaper clippings attached which may or may not refer to the same Janet Anderson as sometimes an alias seemed to be used, however the previous crimes are similar, stealing clothes as per the VDL register.
