Tried Edinburgh, 11 Feb 1850, 7 years. Native place, Fifeshire. P religion. Can Read and write. S, Margaret at N. P. lived 7 years with James Laing. Ship character, Fair. Offence: Stg a neckcloth , pro. unknown at Edinburgh. Stg a glass, 9 months; Stg a coat, 60 days; Ditto, 40 days for theft 30 or 40 times for being disorderly.

High Court of Justiciary.  Mary Anderson, charged with stealing a half-shawl or muffler from a house in West Richmond Street, on the 5th or 6th of December, was found guilty, and, being habit and repute a thief, was sentenced to seven years' transportation. Edinburgh Evening Post, 13 Feb 1850.

There were Two mary Anderson that sailed on the 'Emma Eugenia" 4th Voyage and this ary never married William Lucas and she didn't die on the 4 October 1879. This Mary Anderson Convict Number 263. This Mary is listed as Mary Anderson (2nd) age 31 years old born in Edinburgh. Look at Record Number CON15/6 PAGE 285

There was two Mary Anderson that sailed on 'Emma Eugenia" 4th Voyage and this Mary Anderson did not marry William Lucas and didn't die on the 4 October 1879. The Mary's are not related at all.
