My research indicates this Convict is my 3rd Great Grandfather. He Departed with John Johnston on the Tamar for Port Phillip on 13 Dec 1843 in Georgetown, Tasmania. He arrived the next day in Melbourne 14 December 1843 - Refer Shipping Intelligence Port Phillip Gazette of 20 Dec 1843 where he is named as William Anderton, with John Johnston. He married Mary Corcoran at St Francis RC Church on 19 May 1844.
