Family connections for Ann (Durant) are: DURANT Ann (Durant) arrived in NSW as a convict on 6 8 1817 after a voyage of 4.5months on CANADA. She is also recorded as arriving on MORLEY 1817). Ann (Durant) does not have an entry on this Website as yet; but Ann (Sharkey) is found on CANADA. William (Herbert) was born about 1784. He was tried (as John (Herbert)) for entering, on 25 6 1816, & robbing Wiltshire-Berkshire canal Lockhouse/house of John (Brown) Pewsham Forest-maybe 2crimes-at Salisbury Wiltshire Assizes on 27 7 1816, sentenced to death reprieved to Life, held at New Sarum & hulks & arrived in NSW on 24 4 1817 after a voyage of 4months on SHIPLEY.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] >>>Noted, in Smees records, a William (Herbert) is recorded as marrying an Ann (Durant) in 1817 at St Johns CofE Parraatta-not shown in Smees records, but 6children are shown as born to married parents.
