Sydney Gazette and New South Wales Advertiser (NSW : 1803 - 1842), Tuesday 1 May 1838, page 1 £2 REWARD WHEREAS, on Monday, the 23rd Instant, Ann Newman, per Ship Roslyn Castle, eloped from my House at Jerry's Plains, first robbing me of property, to a considerable amount), with a man named John Maher, per Ship Manlay, any person, who apprehends the above named Ann Newman, and John Maher will receive the above reward, on application to the Police Magistrate at Patrick's Plains. Constables are requested to be on the alert.
