L'andrin Antoine was transported on the Royal Admiral, departing 28th Feb 1800 and arriving 20th Nov 1800 with 305 passengers.
The Royal Admiral was built at Lynn in 1828. Convicts were transported to New South Wales on the Royal Admiral in 1830, 1833, 1835 and to Van Diemen's Land in 1842. 1833 - Ship; Royal Admiral. Commenced fitting as a Convict Transport at Deptford on the 29 March. Surgeon Superintendent [Andrew Henderson] joined on the 3rd April. Guard embarked on the 13th. Sailed on the 17th and anchored in Kingston Barbour near Dublin on the 9th May. 220 convicts embarked on the 16 May 1833 and the ship sailed from Dublin Bay for Sydney on the 4th June and arrived there on the 20 October. Originally embarked with 221 convicts, 5 Died at sea, 1 was Relanded. 11 sick on shore, The convicts were described as 220 such wretchedly debilitated creatures ... He became a French Prisoner of War held at Portsmouth Devonshire with Antoine (Durinault). He was sent to NSW to commence/teach wine-growing & arrived as a Prisoner of War on 20 11 1800 after a voyage of 9months on ROYAL ADMIRAL w/Antoine (Durinault) on 3year contract He married Ann (Poulter/Cook her second (2of4) marriage) on 17 2 1800 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. When living at Buckeridge Street St Giles London he was tried w/1other for violent assault/highway robbery, on 25 5 1788, & stealing a silver watch chain etc of John (Billing) at Old Bailey (as Francis (Harris)) on 25 6 1788, sentenced to death commuted to Life & held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & Newgate prison & arrived in NSW on SCARBOROUGH. In December 1800 he joined the NSW Corps (but not mentioned in NSW Corps records). He was issued his Conditional Pardon in 1801. He was discharged from NSW Corps in 1803 due to ill health. On 30 6 1803 he was granted 90acre at Evan-Portion no.49 Parish of Castlereagh County of Cumberland on Nepean River north of Penrith, where he farmed potatos, wheat & barley. In December 1803 he disposed 30acres as a gift. In 1806 he was in a first relationship with Ann (Carney). He lost much of his produce in a flood in 1806. The second marriage to Ann (Poulter) is acknowledged here-after a prenuptial agreement that she retains a dwelling house at 2 Clarence Street & a mare, cart & harness. He mortgaged his farm in 1817. He was issued an Absolute Pardon & in 1820 successfully petitioned for Govt. cattle. He petioned again in 1824 for more land. He is recorded in 1828 with wife & 3children on 90acres at Evan.
