Convict Notes
Colonial Secretary's Office, Sydney, 12th December, 1838. TWENTY-FIVE POUNDS REWARD; OR, A CONDITIONAL PARDON. WHEREAS it has been represented to His Excellency the Governor, that Robert Archer, a prisoner of the Crown, by the ship Marquis of Huntley, late employed as a Sheep overseer on the Estate of Messrs. Robert and Helenus Scott, of Glendon, Hunter's River, has been missing since the 2nd of August last, and is supposed to have been murdered; Notice is hereby given, that a Reward of Twenty-five Pounds will be paid to any free Person or Persons (except the actual perpetrator) who may give such information as shall lead to the apprehension and conviction of the party by whom the said murder may have been committed; or, if the informant be a prisoner of the Crown, application will be made to Her Majesty for Her approbation and allowance of a conditional Pardon to such prisoner of the Crown; By His Excellency's Command, E.
