Convict Notes
28-Sep-1847: Archibald Park whose occupation was listed as, Collier, of Havannah Street, Glasgow, was to be tried, with Patrick McGinty of the same address, for the crime of assault and robbery. No record of his conviction has been located. Note: Patrick McGinty, Verdict: Guilty, Sentence: Transportation - 7 years. See JC26/1848/473. Trial of Dr David Gibson, Edinburgh, 18 May 1848 (see JC8/55, f.106v). McGinty was transferred to London for later transportation but subsequently died in Millbank Prison, London, despite Dr Gibson's claim that he was fit for transferal.
