Henry Armstead was an 'exile'. He had spent 3 1/2 years in prison before he was transported. 1849: TOL 13/3/1850: TOL cancelled for being absent from his district, Gwydir Bench. Father: George Mother: Elizabeth Lines? Brother: George Sisters: Jessie and Sarah.

Huntingdon Gaol General Register 1845-56 (Archive Ref: 5670). Henry was from St Ives in Huntingdonshire. He had a fair complexion and Light coloured hair with grey eyes. He was 4ft 10 1/2" tall. He was committed to Huntingdon Gaol on 05/01/1846 for stealing butter. He was then transferred to Millbank Prison on 20/03/1846. His behaviour was described as orderly.
