Family connections for Catherine (Armstrong) are: ARMSTRONG Catherine (Armstrong) was born in Cavan Co. Ireland about 1799 & became a house servant & needlewoman. She was tried for theft of gold earrings in Down Co. Ireland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 10 7 1825 after a voyage of 4months on MARINER. She married James (Henery maybe his second marriage) mason on 31 7 1826 at St James CofE Sydney & produced at least 2children. She died on 18 11 1832 age about32 at Brickfield Hill Sydney & was buried as Catholic at Rookwood Cemetery (Rookwood Necropolis general cemetery Haslems Creek. [Some details taken from this Website] James (Henry) was born about 1788/99 & became a stonemason. He was tried for theft, at Newry on 2 12 1819) of hats of George (Cowan) at Downpatrick Assizes Co, Down Ireland on 24 3 1820, sentenced to 7years, held at Kilmainham Gaol Dublin for 2weeks from 10 7 1820 & arrived in NSW as a convict on 22 12 1820 after a voyage of 4months on ALMORAH. He was Free by Servitude by 1827. He was recorded in 1827 as a mason & in 1829 as a dealer.
