The Australian (Sydney, NSW : 1824 - 1848) Tue 6 Feb 1838 Page 2 LAW. 1838 - Before Mr Justice Willis and a jury of military officers. William Harridan and Richard Armstrong were indicted for breaking and entering a certain warehouse, situate at Gloster, on the 23rd Oct. last, belonging to the Australian Agricultural Company, and stealing therefrom 100lbs flour, 49lbs sugar, 10lbs tea, 10lbs tobacco, and 5lbs soap, variously laid as the property of the Australian Agricultural Company, and of Thomas Flannagan, the warehousekeeper, and Thomas Hampshard, stood charged with being accessary before the fact in the said felony. The prisoners are assigned servants to the Australian Agricultural Company at Port Stephens, and they were stationed at about nine miles distance from where the robbery took place. NOT GUILTY
