The Conditional Pardon noted for Ashbee is a mistake. Because Ayres' record below is 'full' the 1846 notation is for him not Ashbee. Also the absconding notice for Ashbee was reissued on 28 Oct 1826 . That is he was gone...

Kentish Weekly Post or Canterbury Journal Kent, England 23 Mar 1821: KENT LENT ASSIZES William Ashbee, charged with stealing eleven quarters of wheat, at Stoke, the property of Thomas Comport. Transported seven years. Stated Wife and 1 child at Kitton in Kent. 4/3/1825 Hobart Town Gazette: William Ashbee, 114,5 ft. 7½ in. red hair, blue eyes, 27 years of age, labourer, tried in Kent, March 19, 1821, sentence 7 years, native place Schorn, in Kent, arrived in this Colony per Malabar, scar over right eye-brow, and several about the mouth, ticket of leave, last employed as overseer, road party, Blackman's River, charged with felony, apprehended at Ross Bridge, and escaped from custody at Jericho, March 14, 1824.—£2 Reward........advertisement ran until 17/6/1825. Conduct Record: Empty except for:- 2/2/1846: Recommended for a CP
