John Ashford was 15 years old on arrival - native place: Halifax, North America. John could read, was Protestant, 5'1" tall, ruddy and freckled complexion, dark brown hair, dark grey eyes, eyebrows partially meeting, scar over left, mark of a small burn inside lower right arm, scar back of left side of head. Son of Samuel Ashford and Catherine. 23/8/1845: TOL Scone. 2/3/1847: Permission to marry Rebecca Bell, aged 17, came free. 1847: Married Rebecca Bell at Scone. They had at least 6 children. 6/11/1906: John died at Sparkes Creek, Upper Dartbrook, NSW. Rebecca died 24/5/1914, at Scone, aged 84.
