GOVERNMENT NOTICE, No. 213. Colonial Secretary's Office, Sep. 20,1829. T HE Lieutenant Governor being desirous to mark in a particular manner, his high approbation of the meritorious conduct and services of the three individuals by whom the Convicts who recently absconded from the service of Donald M Leod, Esq., at Tallisker, were captured, has been pleased to direct, that a Conditional Pardon shall be immediately extended to John Ashton, no. 83, per Guildford, Constable in the Field Police, and that a similar, indulgence shall be granted to Robert Caldwell, no, 460, per Malabar, in twelve months from the date of the said capture.
